How We Collect and Use Information

Provantage’s Site collects information in three ways:

For example, you may be required to provide us with certain Personal Information to register with the Site, sign up for certain services available through the Site, complete transactions via the Site, contact Provantage, or respond to surveys, questionnaires or applications.

Data Collected Automatically: When you access Provantage’s Site, Provantage automatically collects industry-standard information like IP address, usage, and device data. Provantage collects and uses this type of information to helps us understand how users interact with the Site, to provide you with a more relevant experience, to analyze spending behavior, and to enhance the services we offer. We may also collect this information with our affiliates to monitor the attractiveness of our Site, to improve its performance or content, and to ensure that it is working properly.

Cookies: When you view Provantage’s Site, Provantage may also use cookies, web beacons, pixel tags, and other technologies (“Cookies”) to keep records, store your preferences, improve our advertising, and collect certain information about your interactions with our Site, like log data and device data. Cookies can help us in many ways, for example, by allowing us to better understand how you use our Site, to tailor our Site to better match your interests, to troubleshoot and diagnose any problems or issues you may be having, and to otherwise administer and improve the quality of our Site. Cookies also help you to smoothly navigate our Site.

More specifically, we use a tool called Google Analytics for aggregated and anonymized website traffic analysis. In order to track your session usage, Google places a cookie with a randomly generated Client ID number in your browser. This Client ID number is anonymized and contains no identifiable information like email, phone number, name, etc. Google also has access to your IP address. In addition, Google may install additional cookies (e.g. Google fonts, Google tag manager). We use Google Analytics to track aggregated website behavior, such as what pages you looked at, for how long, and so on. This information is important to us for improving the user experience and determining site effectiveness. To learn more about our use of Google Analytics and what Google Analytics does, please see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. You can opt-out of Google Analytics here and to learn more about how to safeguard your information, click here.

If you would like to understand or limit what Google Analytics-derived browsing information we may have and/or want to delete any Google Analytics data, you can take the following actions: (1) you can delete your cookies (via your browser); (2) you can reach out to us as specified in this Privacy Policy, and/or (3) you can install the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-On (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout). Although Google Analytics plants a permanent cookie on your web browser, which can identify you as a unique user the next time you visit the Site, the cookie cannot be used by anyone but Google. Google’s ability to use and share information collected by Google Analytics about your visits to the Site is restricted by the Google Analytics Terms of Use (as amended for government websites) and the Google Privacy Policy. You can prevent Google Analytics from recognizing you on return visits to the Site by disabling cookies on your browser.
